My Scope of Practice
Dr. Yang is dedicated to serving your visual needs in helping you find the most optimal solution for clear and comfortable vision to enjoy your lifestyle. She practices full-scope family optometry and particularly enjoys seeing the pediatric populations. She is TLG certified to treat and manage glaucoma as well as other eye diseases such as macular degeneration as well as dry eye treatment. Dr. Yang also treats ocular emergencies such as red eyes as well. She co-manages with ophthalmologists for pre and post Lasik and cataract surgery patients as well as doing testing for computer vision and safety glasses.
My Specialty
Dr. Yang has particular interest in offering services for myopia control by fitting hard CRT/ Orthokeratology contact lenses or the option of soft multifocal lenses in adjunct with atropine eye drops to control myopia progression. It is her mission to help delay the progression and early onset of myopia in present day children. It is very rewarding for her to see children have instantly clearer vision the next day after Orthokeratology treatment. She has many successful happy Ortho-K children and even a few adult patients who see the world clearer without glasses post treatment . Their prescriptions have a wide variety of range from low to high nearsightedness and astigmatism. She enjoys the challenges of fitting hybrid and scleral lenses for patients who have dry eyes, high prescriptions, larger amounts of astigmatism and irregular corneas such patients with Keratoconus. She aspires to help these patients attain sharper vision which is normally not achievable through regular glasses or soft contact lenses. Dr. Yang's goal is to enable everyone to have healthy clear vision to enjoy one's own lifestyle.
My Affiliations
Currently, Dr. Yang is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the California Optometric Association (COA) and member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society (SCCOS). She volunteers on her free time for vision screenings at local schools. Dr. Yang is welcoming new patients and looking forward to seeing existing patients at the clinic.
